Victim, not alone!

Between fear, shame, or discouragement, we, as victims, sometimes struggle to find the resources needed to speak out about what we have endured and to rebuild ourselves.

Imagined and created by a former victim, this site offers a wide range of legal and practical information, as well as valuable testimonies from other victims who share their stories.

Victim, and then?

Victims of violence have several options to report their experiences. Incident reports, notifications, and criminal complaints – what do these mean, whom to contact, how to proceed, and what happens next? Everything is explained and detailed here.

Police inspector, lawyer, prosecutor, LAVI counsellor, psychologist/psychotherapist – these are some of the people who may intervene, support, and/or interview you. What is their role? How do they work? Answers can be found in this section.

“It’s about leaving the blame with the person who committed the offence. Being a victim does not make someone a victim for life but rather a person who was once victimised.”
