Ça n’arrive pas qu’aux autres !

The podcast that explores violence and justice in Switzerland (in French).

In each episode, Chloé sits down with those who experience, witness or work closely with violence – on the ground, at the Police station, in therapy rooms, hospitals, Courtrooms, in the private sphere or in emergency situations.

Candid, jargon-free conversations that dig into the questions that unsettle, challenge or shed light – without ever losing sight of the human being. To better understand, better act, better support.

EPISODE #1 • Que fait (vraiment) la Police ?

In this first episode of Ça n’arrive pas qu’aux autres ! (It doesn’t only happen to others!), the podcast that explores violence and justice in Switzerland, Chloé welcomes François Nanchen – Deputy Chief Inspector and Head of Crime Prevention at the Police cantonale vaudoise, widely known on social media as eCop François, thanks to his viral videos that resonate with the public.

Behind the deliberately provocative title Que fait (vraiment) la Police ? (What does the Police really do?), lies a genuine desire to understand. What can we expect from the police when the unthinkable happens? Who can we turn to in case of violence? What does filing a complaint really look like – beyond TV clichés? And above all, what do the men and women who listen to and support victims on a daily basis actually experience?

With honesty and humanity, François Nanchen opens the door to his profession – reminding us that behind the uniform, there is a human being.
